Field Trips

To meet our goal of inspiring the whole child, we believe that field trips are an important part of the classroom. These experiences allow us to extend the classroom walls into environments where first-hand observation and informal instruction provide invaluable learning opportunities.

Two of our most popular overnight excursions are the 4th grade trip to The Great Smokey Mountains Institute at Tremont and Jekyll Island 4H Center for our 5th graders. Both trips are special, well-planned, and richly educational. More importantly, they speak to the content core areas of science and social studies. Nature's Classroom in nearby Mentone, AL provides a fun filled day trip where students, parents and teachers experience a hands-on educational program with an emphasis on team building and experience-based learning in an outdoor setting. Additionally our 3rd graders take a day trip to Nashville to support the concepts learned about our TN State Government.
